Do you like the thought of a small Japanese truck, but then get up next to one and think it’s just too small? Well, there are options! The Dyna is a couple sizes bigger with the footprint of a regular Western sized minivan, a 1250kg cargo capacity, and a 2L engine that will keep up! This 2006 Dyna is a dually rear configuration, fixed bed with steel deck, and a 1TR-FE VVTi 2L DOHC engine (which means you can actually keep up with traffic!!)
I have owned a bunch of different trucks in this class, and the 1TR engine Toyotas have really impressed me. It is still a pretty light truck, with excellent capacity, and 90km/h doesn’t feel like the truck is spinning it’s guts out. These trucks are comfortable, simple to drive, and so versatile. Fold the sides down and you’ve got an excellent job-site workbench. With a bed over 9′ long you can easily haul sheets of plywood or drywall in much better fashion than most American style pickups. And that deck is low which is easy to load and unload. The 2L gas platform doesn’t chug fuel near what a domestic truck would. Want to look at your engine? Tip the cab over and see the whole darn thing; how cool is that!!?
This truck is currently in Ontario ready for work!
